How to Use This Tiny Text Tool

Standard keyboards don’t have buttons for small numbers (like ² or ₃). This tool fixes that problem by mapping your keystrokes to specific “Unicode” characters that work on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Excel.

1. Superscript

Characters appear slightly above the text line.

  • Math: Exponents (e.g., x² + y² = z²)
  • Ordinals: Dates (e.g., 1ˢᵗ, 2ⁿᵈ)
  • Citations: Footnotes (e.g., Source¹)
  • Business: Trademarks (e.g., Brandᵀᴹ)
2. Subscript H₂O

Characters appear slightly below the text line.

  • Chemistry: Formulas (e.g., CO₂, H₂SO₄)
  • Math Bases: Binary (e.g., 1101₂)
  • Physics: Variables (e.g., V₀, Fₐₚₚ)
  • Logs: Logarithms (e.g., log₁₀)

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work in Excel?

Yes. Because these are “Unicode Characters” and not just formatting, you can copy the output (like m³) and paste it directly into an Excel cell, Google Sheet, or even a filename.

Why are some letters missing?

The Unicode standard doesn’t include a full alphabet of tiny letters. While all numbers (0-9) work, letters like ‘q’ often don’t have an official subscript version. If a character doesn’t change, no symbol exists for it yet.
